I've knowned Sensei Colin for a few years, when I first moved to Sutton a few years ago and was going through the ranks, the club used to have a Thursday night lesson at the Esporta club in Croydon. Someone said to me if I was interested in training also on Saturday to which I promptly said yes.
The following Saturday I was introduced to Sensei Colin. Since then I have enjoyed numerous lessons at his club, still running in the Esporta Club in Croydon.
During a training session last year he said he would like to come visit our club and I took the opportunity to promptly invite him to come teach a lesson.
A couple of weeks ago he came and it was great.
The lesson started with the usual warm up followed by some basics, we were then introduced to some new techniques, mostly strikes to vital points.
We finished with katas and a series of bag strike exercises.

All in all a different class and a view to a different style of teaching.
I also took the opportunity to get his evaluation of the standards of the karate practiced in our club, here is his response: "I really enjoyed teaching your students and was really impressed with their basics, kata, spirit and good etiquette. You've drill them well."With his final comments in mind I would like to congratulate all students and thanks you for making me look good.
Here are some photos for your enjoyment.
